Guild wars questions again.. simple to the original players?

I heard there are 3 different things to GW

Factions
some p word
and something else

I have game of the year edition, does this count for any of these 3, 1 of them ? all 3? idk... cuz wen i made a char it showed all 3 :/

There are 4 different games,
Prophecies
Factions
Nightfall
Eye of the North (expansion)

The first 3 are all stand alone games, yet if you own more than one then they will link together and your characters can travel thru out the various games freely once you reach the port cities.

If you enjoy the game, it pays to get all 4.

There is the original, which you have, I believe it is known as Guild Wars: Prophecies
Guild Wars: Factions
Guild Wars: Nightfall
And there is a new one Guild Wars: Eye of the North

I believe it just shows the others, if you were to try and click on on of the others it would ask you for a CD key of that version if you dont have it. You start out with 4 character slots and each time you add another one, you gain 2 more slots so if you only have 4 slots it means you just have one version.

If you can make an Assassin or Ritualist, you have Factions included. If you can make a Dervish or Paragon, you have Nightfall included.
