born in Chicago, Moved to Wisconsin and started to follow the Packers. They have who I believe is the Greatest QB ever and I love the teams history. I like that they are the smallest city in the NFL but the Fans/City owns the team. They were the 1st to win the SB and is named Title Town.
Mainly history but also because of "The Legend":Favre.

I became a Redskins fan when I was 8 years old. The Skins were playing the Broncos in the Super Bowl.. and I bet my drunk uncle ten bucks ( a small fortune then to me ) the Skins would win the game.
He talked so much crap to me when the Broncos led 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.
But as history will show... Doug Williams unleashed a historic attack in the second quarter of that game and the Redskins scored 35 points in 15 minutes. I was amazed that they played so amazingly well .... I was hooked right then and there. The Skins went on to win that game 42-10, and I picked up my Die Hard Redskins Fan Identification Card on my way out of the party.
My drunk uncle never paid me that 10 bucks..... but he was so mad about the second quarter I didn't even care. Everyone there was rooting for Denver and John Elway. So I rooted for the Skins.
I have been rooting for them for over 20 years now. Mostly losing seasons.. but I saw them win another Super Bowl in 1991 when they beat the Bills.
And tonight I am a Bears fan because the Skins need the Vikings to lose to get into the playoffs!! Go Skins! And Go Bears!! ha ha.
Good question.
Bill

Because I was born in Minnesota. I became a fan in Kindergarten and was really hoping they'd beat the Rams, but the Rams beat them, then the Bucs, and then the Titans to win the Super Bowl. And I will always hate the Rams because of that. I also became a true Viking fan when I misheard a commercial that year (I knew almost nothing about football) and though the commercial said the Vikings are gonna face the Green Bay Pancakes. Its really retarded. But we won that game anyways 24-20 against those idiotic mental cheeseheads. My first ever football game I had seen

Well buckeyes are my number 1 team as i went to OSU and spent a good deal of my childhood in ohio but patriots are close second....i was born in mass and my parents grew up here in boston...so my dad is a wicked boston sports fan...he always would tell us story of how the patriots used to practice at Boston University which is whre my dad played football for a time (before being draft into army). So i grew up with it...although i can not say i was a passionate fan growing up....i lived in ohio and you know how it is when you are a kid....you want to fit in.....so i kinda rooted for bengals (also 49 ers, raiders and broncos!!!) I moved back here after college and slowly over the years i have become more passionate...especially now that my son is older and into sports.....its nutty in our house....my son is into all the boston teams...while i root for them all i am a football girl.....so i get the nuttiest about that.....but again...my buckeyes are number 1 for me...i bleed scarlet and gray! woo! hoo! :-) and i am finally going to my first patriots game next sunday.....never could afford the tickets as i am single mom and money is ALWAYS tight!!! woo! hoo!

Good question. I remember when i was little and I was watching a Dallas Cowboys game against the Vikings in the playoffs...im pretty sure it was the playoffs..some might remember this..and they blew them out like 40 to10 or something...i was 5 when it happened and since then i loved the Dallas Cowboys. I loved watching Emmitt, Aikman, and Irivin...the only 3 dallas players i knew...i also knew that they beat the Bills back to back superbowls. i grew up watching and wishing i was a lot of the greats like Young, Kelly, B.Sanders all those guys...its hard living in a house with Bills fans and Packers fans.

I moved to New England in 2000 when I was 7. I always said I was a dolphins fan but I knew NOTHING about football when I lived in florida. When I moved to New England, I started watching games more. In 2000 we were ok, but in 2001 when I saw my new team become really good, I became attached to them. I guess you can call me a bandwagon fan, but I was 7, I had no clue who to root for, lol

Born in Framingham, Mass. Go Pats! (and Celtics, Red Sox and Bruins) New England fans are loyal even if their team goes 89 years without a championship.
