I believe that God makes one perfect partner for every person. I thought I knew that person, but it's obvious I was wrong there. We're getting divorced and he's living with my best friend. Sigh. Oh well, the person I was meant to be with is still out there. God has that perfect person, but it's in His timing that we meet the one we're supposed to meet and not ours.

I do, we've been through sooo much together, and there have been so many times when it was so easy for God to do it so that we can't be together.

We are from different countries for one, and we got all the documents sorted and all the visas surprisingly easy and fast, even though it could have been very difficult especially since when we applied for my partner to come to UK on a fiancee visa, I didn't even have a British passport at the time (just a permanent resident visa) and was only 19 years old with no stable job! I mean it would have been so easy to decline that one, but we got it.

Also the timing for my partner to recieve her new passport was exactly perfect, because she made an appointment for the visa interview before she recieved one, and she had only 2 weeks to sort all the documents out (because she was already living in UK with me, but on a temporary visa, and she bought a ticket to USA for only 2 weeks), and she got her new passport on the morning before the visa interview!

And the way we met was totally amazing as well, she found me through an art website where I used to post my works, along with 1000s of other artists, and she didn't even have an account there, her friend did. And for some reason she just liked my art and decided to add me to her MSN, and I almost blocked her (because I'm not big on talking to people I don't know) but something just told me not to, and from the first moment we chatted we just clicked.

Been together for 5 years now and still going strong :D

I'm not exactly sure that God hands out "jobs" to people; but I do know that people do feel a certain call to various things in life. Part of my call is to be with my partner until death parts us. God have given both of us many graces and blessings which nourish our relationship. We have been together for over 30 years.

Sure. You hopefully have someone who is a match, which means you help "fill in all the colors in each other's paint-by-number lives" as it were. I feel like my husband and I are a great match - every relationship takes work, but some just seem to take less and that must mean they are "right" on some level.

I dont believe in god. He's not real. its all a lie. but i think it is my job on earth to be with my significant other, the wonderful Ontineyu, and to grow old with him and raise a family that will someday help to populate the world.

Yes, in a way I feel that way about my ex. Like she is one of my reasons for being alive and here.

i reject the whole idea of god or watev, so i couldnt tell u the god part, but if ur totally falling head over heels for someone you should do watev it takes to be with them as long as it makes both of you happy.

Yes, not as a test to me, rather as a test to others on how well they treat their fellow man.
