On the back of the phone, when you open the back casing where the battery is stored, there is usually a white dot. if water has gotten into to your phone, regardless of it working or not, will usually be red or a light red. it's an indication that the phone is trashed and suggest looking into a new one. If you pay a monthy charge for cell phone insurance, a new phone will be replaced for free, if you do not have this service then you'd have to pay out of pocket for a new phone.

This happened to me before. I dropped my phone in the pool. Don't worry. I don't recommend blowdring it. I tried it with mine too, and it never works. Take the battery out of the phone, and leave it sitting out for at least a day or 2 and let it just sit there. Don't try to use it or anything. This could just cause more damage. It worked for me, and I hope it works 4 you! Good luck!! :)

Blow drying it and then closing the casing isn't the answer. When you blow hot air into it the moist will evaporated and then you close the casing immediately after that and the moist remains inside the phone. Blow dry it with not too hot air AND THEN LEAVE THE PHONE OPEN FOR HOURS AND HOURS. That should do it. If that does not work then there is another solution. place it on a hard surface and with a sledge hammer you then proceed to.....

Umm, personally??
I would say call customer service (DON'T blame it on yourself, they won't replace it) and explain to them that your phone has water damage. They will probably give you a new phone for free. Chances are, your cell is dead, SORRY
Merry Christmas!

Maybe your phone is lazy or cold and likes getting warmed up with the dryer. LOL. I really don't know what you should do because I know they don't cove water damage. I did have my old iPod nano go through the wash and it didn't work for like two months and then its started working perfectly.

it may sound stupid but put it into a bag of white rice. close the bag and let it dry for a few days. it will completely dry the phone and then if the phone doesn't work, then you need a knew one.

water usually kills the phone.... try buying cheap one on ebay... or sometimes companies will let you sign up for new two year contract and get new phone even if you didnt finish your old one...... try taking it to the store and asking them what to do! cry! :)
