I just found out that a coin I have (1000 pesos) is currentlly worth about $92. I need to know where/what kind of place can I trade the coin in.

You have a 1000 peso coin? At present, the largest denomination banknote in Mexico is 1000 pesos.

What I suspect you have is the 1000 (pre-1993) pesos coin with the portrait of Sor Juana de Asbaje on it that was minted from 1988 to 1992. As of 1 January 1993, Mexico remonetized and 1000 old pesos became one new or current peso. If I guessed correctly, then your coin has a face value of about 9 cents.

Find the largest coin dealer in your town and take your coin there. Remember, dealers buy at wholesale and sell at retail.
