No. Diamonds are 'harder' than bullets, but bullets move so fast that they carry a lot of force. When a speeding bullet strikes a diamond, the diamond cracks/shatters. Enough force will overcome anything...even the hardness of diamonds. Oddly enough, soft silk is arrow proof, and fireproof. The universe is VERY strange.

I'm sure if it's big enough a bullet wouldn't break a diamond.

Diamond shatter if hit right place, jeweler do it with small hammer, bullet can do it too if shooter know where aim.
