what do you think is going through the mind of someone who finds no reason to live any longer? What do you think could be one thought that is keeping him from simply ending his life?
I think that it is too easy for someone to end their own life, so therefore for someone to be hesitant in killing themselves it must be in what ever they are thinking (right?)

Now imagine that this person has rulled out all reasons for him to remaine on this earth. what could be holding him back?
could it be the fear of the results of his end?
in other words people who have nothing to live for would assume that they must have someone to live for ( right?).
and so this person goes around asking friends "what would you do if I died?" and "how would you feel"
Now depending on the outcome of what his friends said, which is either they wouldn't care much or they would care a lot and would feel bad if he did, do you think that this would be the last reasonable thoughts of who is about to kill themselv

What do I live for? Many things, and many reasons. I feel that all of us have a reason to be here, and it would be arrogant of me to pretend to know the whys and wherefores for mine.

Walk a mile in my shoes before you preach to me. ... quote a Native American proverb, "Judge no man until you have walked a mile in his mocassins" ...

I imagine it would take a lot for a great majority of people to run out of options and feel so hopeless to the point of despair, but it is a possibility.

If we live our life on our own way without taking proper shelter to a spiritual master or not associating with saintly people, the whole purpose of having a human life is wasted.

Every human being should have some sort of transcendental knowledge of the absolute truth so that he/she never get bewilders in any stage of his/her life.

Miseries, frustrations etc are in every corner in our life and we should not let those taken over us.

We are spirit souls which is beyond the limited bondaries of body, mind, intelligence and false ego.

>>so this person goes around asking friends

A blind person can not lead another blind person , so if you have to approach someone , you should approach that person who knows the truth.

Here is what should be the reason for living ?

"Life's desires should never be directed toward sense gratification. One should desire only a healthy life, or self-preservation, since a human being is meant for inquiry about the Absolute Truth. Nothing else should be the goal of one's works."

well i would think hardly any would fear death when they're up to a point of suicidal thoughts. I think the only reason is well they have nothing to live for. Add our current society change like the fast current of jobs, illness and anything else could contribute the thought of nothing to live for. I often think suicide is option "x" It could be anything. If one would ask question like what would you do if I died, i really would think that this person is confused. A person who thinks that they need to suicide is dumb. when a person ask people's opinions on what would happen if he died, thats when the person is confused. So i think if this man is having thiughts of suicide and asking other's opinions, SAVE THIS PERSON. HE IS CONFUSED. help him, thats all i'm saying.
