what animal do you prefer to have as house animals??

Question

i have a cat and a hamster and i want a dog but are those animals appropriate??

what aninal would be appropriate for an apartment??

A dog or cat is appropiate - only if they are trained not to destroy the apartment when you are gone. I personally like cats and dogs because you can cuddle with them when you are home. Plus a dog is a good noise maker to keep out unwanted characters ( if you know what I mean.)
I think a fish or a bird are nice if you want to come home to something, but not to the possible distruction that a cat or dog can do.

we have 4 dogs (3 shih tzus and a german shepherd) 3 cats a bunny and fish and until recently had rats and will again soon. any dog or cat should be carefully watched with small or exotic animals and i would recommend with a large/medium dog, they be outside when the small animals need out of cage time if possible but there is no reason you can't own a dog with a cat and hamster already in the house. if your cat is very outgoing and friendly you could probably get a puppy, but if it is older or tends to be skittish or easily stressed id adopt an adult dog that has already been proven to be good with cats, this way youre saving a life from a rescue or shelter too. good luck :)

i know someone who has a pet rabbit and it is litter trained. i dont know how well it will work with a cat in the house, but she loves it a lot.

a small comb puppy would be fine, talk to your landlord
