A rapper is a person who talks the language of hip hop.

A hip hop artist could be anything of the 4 elements of hip hop like DJ, graffiti artist, rapper, or breakdancer.

a rapper is there more for lik entertainment!!! their lyrics usaully dont mean anything!!!! like rick ross is a rapper, plies is a rapper cuz they are bubble gum artist hip hop artist are ppl lik nas, common, talib kweli, lupe, kanye etc when they flow you actually learn **** from them other than being in the club and making money feel me??

hip hop is more of a culture instead of just a rapping style....like the 80s really expresses hip hop all the way!!! from the basement partys and break dancing

Stewie is 100% correct. Hip-hop is the culture of DJing, rapping, graffiting and breakdancing; so therefore a rapper or a DJ can be a Hip-hop artist. Rap is the music, so someone who raps is a rapper.

Rap is based on talkative rhyme, generally with the same beat as other raps.
