note: Hospital is a couple of hours away so we aren't very tempted to go....

Bleeding inside the head is VERY dangerous. The blood has nowhere to go and the pressure can build up inside you skull, compressing your brain, potentially causing serious brain damage. Please call your doctor and see when he wants to see you again!

Bleeding in the head is IMPORTANT enough to drive several hours.

Call your doctor and ask him.

I think you should call your doctor back and ask him when he would like to see you again. You wouldn't want to drive a few hours for no reason.

Your question leaves many questions:
What type of bleeding? ie in the brain? Subdural, epidural, subarchnoid
How did it happen?
What intervention was required, did you get a craniotomy?
Do you have new or worsening symptoms?
