I'm looking for a really great book. I haven't read a really great one in a long time. My interests revolve around crime, suspense, pychological thrillers, futuristic stuff, and I don't know, bascially anything except sci-fi stuff. Please nothing too childish, but I must admit I do love the classics!!

Sounds like you like techno-thrillers, not science fiction but deal with suspence and scientific problems, anything by Clive Cussler and his NUMA series, an agency that deals with problems on and under the ocean.

Tom Clancy without a doubt is the best, there are also a series of books written under his name but are different series and written by different people under his direction, so if you go to the "C" section you'll find a cornacopia of technothrillers.

Patrick Robinson if you like submarines.

Neal Stephenson is in a class by himself, his book are highly psychological and thrillers at the same time.

"The Runaway Jury" by John Grisham is the best thriller I've ever read, but it was made into a lousy movie so if you seen it it might spoil it. All Grishams "lawyer" books are really good, but once he gets out of the lawyer genre, he is good but not great.

Then there is the Granddaddy of the all who is still going strong although you wish he would write more books, Michael Chrichton, forget his Jurassic Park series, a lot of his books are psychological thrillers with a techno twist, Prey, Congo and Timeline (again made into a lousy movie that didn't do Timeline justice) Prey keeps you guessing until the end.

Michael Crichton has a new book out (called "Next"). I read some of his later books like "Prey", also good.

I read Whiteout by Ken Follett -- excellent!
