...like Yuck!!! A nephew of mine has become soooooooo obsessed with some of those old grindhouse-type movies, which I guess they made in the 70's and 80's; one that he's desperately looking for, has something to do with a crazy insane seriel killer (...like, are there any other kind?), who traps helpless women in his house, and burns them alive. He swears that this movie does exist, and has seen it, but he doesn't knows the title of it...

...can someone out there tell me that this yucky-sounding movie DOESN'T exist, so that I can get him a fruticake, instead....'cause that's what he is....a fruitcake, for wanting something like this at Christmas!!!

...unfortunately, I have some bad news for you!!!

There IS a horror/terror film, which matches your description, and the title of the film is, "Don't Go in the House", from 1980; Media Blasters, Inc. put the film out on DVD, a little over a year ago. The film's synopsis is not very pretty, but here it is:

"Donald Kohler is a young man who, as a child, was severly burned by his sadistic/overbearing mother, as a cruel means of discipline and punishment. After years of social estrangement pass, Donald comes home to his mother after an accident at the local incinerator, only to find that his mother died in her sleep. Now released from her possession, Donald's mind teeters around dangerous activities in order to ease his repression; particularly searching out for women (blondes or burnettes, just like his mother) in random mundane locations, bringing them home, hanging them rightside up in a personally installed steel plated room, and burning them alive with a flamethrower."

...ah, well!!! So much for the fruitcake!!!

Maybe Kiss the Girls? I don't know but he does not keep them in his house...Umm, That is really weird that he likes that kind of stuff....odd movie to get for Christmas mor like an X-mas gift LOL I saw the grindhouse movies that came out and they were not about a guy that traps women in his house or anything like that....more of a zombie type movie and its really really really gross and graphic so if he likes that kind of stuff then maybe.....maybe he would like SAW one through four?

Sorry to ruin it for you but, it sounds like a movie I have heard of called "Bloodsucking Freaks" (1975) I found it on Amazon.com pretty easily. FYI- there is a lot of nudity depending on how old this nephew is.

P.S.- You should get him a copy of something like "the sound of music" as a joke and then get the real movie too.

There is a website called www.troma.com that has all those kinds of "so bad they are good" kind of movies. He should be able to find a lot of titles that would interest him.

I think the movie-movies-you're looking for are Death Proof and Planet Horror. They were released as one movie in the theatre this summer called Grindhouse, but were separated when released on DVD.

The movie is called "Dont Go in the House" and it honestly wasnt as bad as I thought it would be (except the ending sucks). I have seen this movie and can confirm that it exists.
