OK here's the deal. I'm on Trinessa 28 day BC, and right now I'm on the green (inactive) pills. I'm supposed to get my period sometime this week, just haven't yet. My question is...is it safe to have unprotected sex while on the inactive pills? I'm going to ask the Dr. before I do, but I just wanted to see if anyone knows. Ok any help will be mucho appreciated! Thanks!

It's safe. Obviously you should still be using condoms if you or your partner don't know your STD status, but assuming you start the next packet of pills when you are supposed to, your body won't have enough time to ovulate.
There's always some chance of failure with the birth control pill, but it's no worse during this week than any other time of the month.

You will be protected at the 99% effectiveness rate of the pill.
