Wouldn't it be nice? Perhaps, if an agreement can be reached. But I doubt if it will happen any time soon.

Generation after generation. But that's not the point. Israel has from its inception wanted peace with its Arab neighbours. The Arabs on the other hand have sworn that Israel will be destroyed by them and all the Jewish people thrown into the sea. Most feel that way even today.
