Just before the great depression of the 1930'S? I mean all the economic indicators are exactly the same and they were/are both Republicans.

I don't know I wasn't around in 1929 to hear his speech. I have noticed that a lot of people seem to be hoping that we do go into a depression. I guess that is so that they can blame Bush but I must be wrong because the liberals care about the people and they wouldn't want to see them suffer just so the Democrat Party could be back in power.

the difference is we didnt have liberals as extreme or as clueless as the pelosi/reid regime causing most of the problem in the thirties...times change and reasons and causes for things change. similar words different circumstances.
