The one I grew up to was: Roses are Red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
And so are you.
I hope this give your mind some rest! I hate that when it happens to me.

Roses are red, violets are purple, I am sure glad that I am not Steve Urkel. No I guess I don't remember what comes after purple.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
But not as sweet as you

Here's one:

Roses are red
Grass is green
Don't sit too close
To your computer screen

Rose-320 is correct.....

From the song "Dang Me" written and performed by Roger Miller:

Well here I sit, gettin' ideas
Ain't nothing but a fool would live like this
Out all night and runnin' wild
Woman sittin' home with a month old child

CHORUS:
Dang me, dang me
They oughta take a rope and hang me
High from the highest tree
Woman would you weep for me.

Just sittin' around drinkin' with the rest of the guys
Six rounds bought, and I bought five
Spent the groceries and half the rent
Like fourteen dollars and twenty seven cents.

(CHORUS)

They say ROSES ARE RED AND VIOLETS ARE PURPLE
SUGAR IS SWEET AND SO IS MAPLE SURPLE
Well I'm the seventh out of seven sons
My pappy was a pistol
I'm a son of a gun.

(CHORUS)

I think it goes--
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet
And so are you.
At least that's the way I learned it.

(Roses are red my love...do do do do)

A long, long time ago,
On graduation Day
You handed me you book,
I signed this way:
Roses are red my love, Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet my love, but
not a sweet as you.

We dated through High School,
And when the big day came,
I wrote in your book,
Next to my name:
Roses are red my love, Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet my love, but
not a sweet as you.

Then I went far away,
And you found someone new,
I read your letter dear,
And I wrote back to you:
Roses are red my love, Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet my love, but
Luck may god bless you.

Is that your little girl?
She looks a lot like you,
Someday, some boy will write,
In her book too:
Roses are red my love, Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet my love, but
not as sweet as you.
