Distribute into the parentheses first.

5(2x - 2)-3 = 4(x-3)+11
10x - 10 - 3 = 4x - 12 + 11

Then combine like-terms.

10x - 13 = 4x - 1

Then get all the constant terms (-1 & -13) on one side and the linear terms (10x & 4x) on the other.

6x = 12
x = 2

Hope this helps!

first you distribute 5 times 2x and then 5 times -2
on the other side distribute 4 times x then 4 times -3
get all the numbers with a variable on one side and the real numbers on the other side. if you want the answer.. i dont feel like working it out
