Absolutely not. He might have fought for his demented version of justice, but it merely took Russia from one extreme to another.

I don't believe Karl Marx fought for anything. We wrote about communism and class struggle, but he never took much of an active role in his beliefs. Marx believed in his own idea of justice, not a universally accepted principle.

What current age communism? There are very few communist nations left on Earth.

Can you find one successful communist government in history? There is a huge difference between theory and practice.

I think in his time he fought for justice. He lived in an authoritarian world, very new to the industrial revolution.

Marx.. as well as many others.. saw the clashes that capitalism brought. Inevitably it depends on the over-consumption of resources, and a materialistic society that is ready for mass consumption. There are winners and losers to this.. the losers in Marx's time were the vast majority.

Karl Marx had a philosophy describing what he saw in life. It is very misunderstood, and taken as anti-christian, and anti-corporation, by anyone who thinks someone else could view it in a way that can be threatening to their beliefs.
In Marx's life, the religious types where the authoritarians trying to control all others based on their beliefs.
Things haven't changed much among extremists, luckily we don't have as many.

And yes, I agree with your statement. Old Communism is better than the Dictatorships that have replaced it.

No he told brawdy jokes for drinks

His wife froze to death and his son starved to death while Marx was drunk at the local tavern.

I think that he THOUGHT he was fighting for justice. I think he was misguided. But I also think his intentions were good.
