No, although a "seasons greetings" type of card might be appreciated.

Does it actually say "Merry Christmas" on it?

If so, it's at best slightly thoughtless. It makes it look like you forgot that they're Muslim and don't celebrate Christmas. At worst, it could look like you're being an intentional d1ck and implying that they *should* be celebrating Jesus as God when they aren't.

But if it's just a "Season's Greatings" or "Happy Holidays" card? I'd say that's fine. If all you mean to do is share a general sentiment of good feeling and hope that they are happy this winter, that's cool. If nothing else, if they're in the US or Europe, send them a New Years card. Wishing someone a happy New Year is pretty safe.

I would say "yes" - especially if you are sending cards to everyone else you don't want to leave her/him out.

It would pay to be a little sensitive and not give one with a picture of the baby Jesus on it (or a teddy bear given recent events - no I'm not being funny, it could be interpreted as "having a go"), but a simple non-denominational one with a snowman should be fine.

Remember two things:
1. It is *you* who are celebrating the Christmas holiday and sending her/him the card as part of *your* celebration. You aren't forcing anyone to join in, just following your tradition.
2. Very few Muslims are frothing-at-the-mouth religious zealots who are going to take offence at the slightest mention of something that isn't Islam. The card is more likely to be accepted in the spirit of good will with which it was offered.

a Christmas card may not be appropriate but there are many seasonal greetign cards that wish people happy holidays and the like that would work nicely. Or you could check out the various holidays in the muslim calendar and send cards for them. Or better yet, why not do both - nothing wrong with sending hims cards for all seasons - just not ones that are specific to your religious holidays.

Possibly. They might be offended, they might not. Some people appreciate the sentiment - others think you're trying to force YOUR religion down their throat.

Depends on the person. If you are very anti-PC and they are aware of it and take no issue with it....then it's ok.

If they are very devout and would be offended, then no.

I would go with "Happy Holidays" instead. Better safe than sorry.
