After trying to make a comeback with the LONg Island Ducks in 2005, a Independent League Team he retired. He now works in Georgia with Video and Real Estate Projects.

John Rocker has some serious mental issues. The Braves showed a lack of credibility by letting this guy wear an MLB uniform in the 1999 NLCS.

John Rocker who was the big mouthed reliever for the Atlanta Braves subsequently played for the Long Island Ducks and was discharged from there. He is also on the Mitchell report list.

His arm died, but he was a victim of Free Speech.
I don't agree with what he said, but people are so sensitive about it. He got booed out of the league, when he spoke his mind. If you can't say what you feel, you lose freedom. We live in a country where we are supposed to project politeness and joy, and we are supposed to oppress anger and frustration. When you lose anger and frustration, you become vulnerable to submission, and you submit to someone or something in order to prevent looking bad or racist. John Rocker should have stood his ground for what he said, and not back down. He didn't physically harm anyone or animal, unlike Mike Vick, he just said his mind. Speech only hurts if you let it.

His contract was up a few years ago, and no one picked him up. His mouth was bigger than his arm was fast - and that was on "the juice".
Just another case of someone with little talent shooting off his mouth, only to be shown the door.

he just sort of faded away, we'll probably hear from him now that his name was in the Mitchell report, he'll probably say that Mitchell hated him because Mitchell is Catholic or something ridiculous like that.
