1. Many believe that abolishing prayer in school falls under seperation of Church and State. In fact this case has been won more than once on the basis praying falls closer to Freedom of Religion than it does to "Church Doctrine". There is no such thing as Seperation of Religion and State.

2. There are no beans in beanie babies but there was, at one time, beans in bean bags.

3. Letting the Cat Out of the Bag originated from dishonest livestock salesmen replacing chickens or other animals with cats. When the farmer would get home, the cat would be out of the bag.

8. Some (including Gary Gygax but he admits he made it up) credit Loki with being a god of fire as well as mischief. This mix up might come from some versions of the contest of the gods stories in which Loki could not out eat fire who was. This challenge was given by Utgard Loki, king of the giants (not to be confused with Loki himself).

9. It is icy cold in Greenland and rather greenish in Iceland.

10. Edgar Allen Poe died in Boston, MA but the cause of his death is still unknown with much speculation.

Coca Cola was originally green.. is actually a false statement. At no point was Coca Cola green, but was bottled in green bottles. Brown also hides impurities, something that the backroom scientist knew very well.

I don't know for sure if they used to do this with grapes but I know they did it with orange trees. In between the trees, the farmer would have these basins. When the farmer would hear about a frost coming, he would pour oil/gas into the basins and ignite it. The basins were like little chimneys--they let out warm smoke to keep the frost from freezing the oranges and rotting them. Sometimes, this would go on for days depending on the inclement weather. If the farmer ran out of fuel, he was out of luck if the frost kept up. The groves would be full of smoke from the burning fuel.
