I used to do all sorts of stuff that was embarrassing when I drank. I used to tell myself that most likely no one will remember it anyway. If they did, I consoled myself by telling myself that 2 years from now, this is going to make one heck of a story.

However, I eventually got pathetic at it because it happened so often, people expected it from me. That was when I decided to go to AA so I don't have to make excuses anymore. My life is much easier now. However, if you have a depression problem and an alcohol problem, you MUST deal with both of them at the same time. If you fix one and not the other.... it will eventually drag you right back to where you started. Depression leads to over drinking and over drinking leads to Depression.

Sometimes people use alcohol to mask a depression or feelings of inadequacy , but when they come down... the depression/humiliation are often worse.

If a person uses alcohol to "treat" a depression, and they want to stop drinking... an alternate "treatment" needs to be found for the depression. Many times this includes Medication. If a person takes Medication and drinks, it renders the medication ineffective. Since the depression doesn't seem to go away with the medication (because alcohol or other drugs are being used with them) people tend to go back to self "medication" with drinking.

It's a vicious cycle. So they both have to be treated at the same time in order to find effective relief.

I am not saying you need this, but it is some information you can tuck away for further refrence. :-)

Nope. this is the number one reason why I don't drink. Once I got drunk and acted a fool and felt stupid the next day and people were making fun of me because of it. So I've learned never to put myself in that type of awful situation again.

I have found a never-ending source of entertainment: laughing at myself. The fun never stops.

Suggest stop drinking or turn off computer.

I'm non-alcoholic.
Alcohol is bad for your health, it's a total waste of money, tastes awful, makes you puke, causes severe diarrhoea, and makes you ugly!

I prefer filtered water, filtered skim milk or filtered 1% milk, and fruit juice ( no prune juice, blah! )
