The car would have been tax deductable, and probably escaped the VAT too.
HM Queen doesnt employ top notch accountants for nothing !!

It was probably never known how much it cost to produce.
Bentley didn't charge the Royals for it.
Many of Bentley's sub-contractors didn't charge Bentley for their input either, as the prestige of being involved (and the promotional opportunities that followed) were considered adequate payment.
Therefore it is likely that no-one will ever have added up the true costs of all the work carried out by every company involved.

It used to be said of a Rolls Royce that if you needed to know the price you couldn't afford it and the same would be true of a Bentley. I'm sure she wouldn't have a clue.
