Do we get prizes for doing this or are people addicted to being the best by getting the most points?

i dont really know i like to see peoples questions and try my best to help. I like looking at people perspective and see what they want to know. I like reading peoples answers because each one is unique just like every individual that visits yahoo answers.

not me. some are though. i really don't care about points or levels. or being top contributor of p&s or any other category. it's not my thing. i found yahoo because i actually had a real question. i've made some friends along the way. people which i can really relate to. it feels like a community here. i'm not judged. i can pretty much say anything. most of all it gives me a sense of being real in this fake world. but, that's just me. others might have different reasons.

I'm not addicted or anything, but it certainly helps pass the time at work...I work at an answering service, and sometimes it can get really slow. When you're done doing everything else on the internet, Yahoo Answers comes in handy!

We're here to answer questions, (LIKE THIS ONE) and to hopefully help someone out who really has a question they want an answer to. And to have a good time while we're doing so. And as for me, I could care less about the top contributor thingy.

Because we're all bored and are just killing some time and some of us live in cold climate areas and it's freezing outside and it's better to be in a warm place then in the freezing cold.

It's perfect for nosy people like me, to see what s going on out there with everyone! I also like helping if i can and I like to have chats with people in the same predicament as me. It brings me comfort.
