I refuse to see the movie because the chipmunks are not three feet tall like in the original cartoon. Do not give me that B.S. about the actual sized CGI ones being more realistic. That train left when they stuck with talking chipmunks. The chipmunks should be way taller.

Dude, it's just about favorite childhood things... you're getting way to emotionally invested here.... If you liked the original go see the new one- instead of picking it apart just enjoy and realize the awesome stuff we grew up on is now available to a whole new set of kids. Times change, media goes along with it.

It is a good reason, but it isn't the best reason. Of course no one has a right to force you to watch it. You don't have to watch the movie if you don't want to.
