How do I fight off mildew on my windows?

I maintain a moderate humidity levels (40-50%) in the house and, as a result, over time I have mildew grown where condensation is on the bottom part of the window glass.

Is there anything I can apply on the glass to deter this growth from appearing? (I do clean it afterwards once in a couple of months with a bleach solution.)

You need to clean it more that once every couple of months. Just spritz a little glass cleaner or amonia or white vinegar and wipe dry weekly and that should eliminate the problem.
