I'm kind of curious, because I wear glasses, and I was seriously thinking about getting LASIK surgery. After you stopped wearing glasses, did you find that people treated you differently, or did they pretty much treat you the same way as they did before?

I wore glasses until I got contacts, (obviously), and you could tell that there was a HUGE differnce in the way people look at you. I got lots of looks from boys and felt comfortable. I was told I looked great with glasses, but spectacular without. Maybe you should consider trying contacts first and see the reaction for yourself, and maybe get used to not wearing glasses before you take such a big step, but good luck with whatever you choose. =]

Why not do a trial with contacts?

I went without glasses for two years and no one even noticed, when I got them again I had an entirely new set of friends. As soon as I got them I had a very positive reaction from all the women I knew at the time.

I wear contacts now(for the most part) and I don't get treated any different(I've been wearing contacts since I was 16). I plan on getting Lasik in the very near future. I'm SO excited. Keep me posted on your progress!

I found that people generally treated me the same but that may have been because I got contacts at a young age but if they treat you different just because you changedyour looks then they aren't really your friend

yes.. but that's because they think I'm stoned from rubbing my eyes when my contacts get irritated :P
