As far as season's not being over - Yes, they are. I know the regular season is over for college football. But WVU still has one of their biggest challenges/games with the Fiesta Bowl and Oklahoma coming up. To start negotiations with Michigan before hand was low.

As far as the situations together - personally I think what Rich Rodriguez did was worse. He's been recruiting kids to WVU and saying he's going to be there and be there for them and then WHAM...he leaves for more money.

Petrino was getting slammed by his players, the city of Atlanta, AND the owners before he left. And why did he leave? He got sick of dealing with the overpriced premadonna's that are in the NFL and went to where he KNEW he would be appreciated. He's getting less money (about 1mil less a year) to do what he loves. He didn't let down kids who can't leave. He let down guys who were talking trash about him. Those Falcon whinners are still going to get paid in the end and at worse they will CONTINUE to lose. Not like Petrino was really helping you in that regard.

Rodriguez, on the other hand, was building up his alma mater and basically spit in the face of the state of WV, the university and the players who came to that school to learn from him. If those student athletes leave, they have to sit out a year and potentially lose scholarships due to his selfish act.

But as they say, that is college football today. It's all about "Gettin' Mine!" rather than teaching the kids what is right and wrong. For shame...

Yes cause WVU still has a game to play, but Bobby Petrino has done it more than once so I would say he's worse.

I think leaving college kids like Rodriguez did is much worse than leaving pros. However, Petrino left Louisville last year, one year into a ten year contract. BUSH LEAGUE! Why do coaches sign contracts, they mean absolutely nothing.

Yes. Bobby P. took ATL when they were troubled. ATL has a crap of a team. Vick gets imprisoned, the players didn't like Bobby P., so I can't blame him for leaving? When opportunties arise, one must take them. Bobby knew he had take what was best for him. ATL sucked and if he stayed it would have been the same. Rich leaving WVU before his team played for a BSC bowl is cruel to those kids, esp. after they were so close to a NC.

Definently not

Bobby Petrino was a pussy and just gave up because he wasn't man enough to spend a little time losing while fixing a tesm in trouble

Rich did a great job at WV and those fans should not start hating him

Personally I'm extatic, GO BLUE!!! Terrelle Pryor is ours

not at all. Bobby left a bad franchise even worse, and didn't tell his players.

Rich built up the program to a high standard, and went out with a little bit of class, I'm sure he at least told his players. Bobby is much worse, almost as worse as Vick.

rich rodriguez is worse. why couldn't he stay at wvu?? he has a great program there. better recruiting, he can easily reload the talent year after year, & he has a great administration that will back him. IT SICKENS ME. WHY CAN'T COACHES STAY AT ONE PLACE LIKE THEY USED TOO???!?!?!?! bobby bowden, eddie robinson, joe paterno, bo schlembechler, woody hayes, levell edwards, tom osborne, barry switzer never had a problem w/ that. maybe i'm old fashioned.
