put your hand in the cage and keep it there let him check it out once he gets more used to it pet him but dont force him. gradually get him used to people but dont take him out of the cage yet. if he gets scared he will still be in his own enviroment and can run away from the hand and still be safe. i kind of sucks but it may take awile. once he is used to you more and he lets you hold him put him on your shirt and comfort him and make sure he doesnt fall. because he is so little and could get under things make sure when you hold him you are somewhere where he can not get lost if he jumps out of your hand. have fun with your new bearded dragon they are great pets and i hope i have helped you. GOOD LUCK!!!

The tail could be somewhat stubborn, yet you're able to in no way peel the lifeless dermis off a dragon. fairly attempt to dip him in heat water on a daily basis till it comes off. If not, in simple terms dab a sprint bit olive oil on the section that has not shed and here day it might start to peel. This surpassed off with my beardie two times and the trick works, yet dont ever peel off the floor. it may harm the beardie, even no remember if it extremely is soft.

Don't reach for him from above...that's what a predator would do and it scares them.

Move slowly. Approach him from the side and scoop him up from underneath, supporting his feet. Yes, he'll squirm at first, but he should settle down fairly quickly. Feed him crickets out of your hand..that will lead him to trust your hands more.

Take him out right before bedtime. Wrap him in a towel. They are most calm at this time and the towel makes them feel secure. He might even fall asleep on you!

The youngin's would rather explore than to be held still, so beardie proof an area and let him run around (with VERY close supervision of course!)

Wait atleast a week before handling him. You will stress him more then he already is because of moving to a new home. Just wait a week and try to hold him.
