I dare say we are a repeat of the Roman Empire...It is said history repeats itself. Everything is the same between the two relative to their times . We just have to wait and see if our infrastructure crumbles and all is lost or if we learned anything from the past. We are still a young nation so I guess we will have to wait and see.....

Since America has been around for a lot less a time, its hard to compare them.
As far as economics, I think the US has that one in hand nicely. We have a higher overall standard of living than the Romans ever had.
Our culture is waning already into the same decay that Rome fell into, so I would say Rome wins there since it took longer.

Is this really a question now? Rome lived more than a millennium. And ho old is US? Wait for 700-800 years to discuss this.

We have a better economy, better mittitary, technology and population(I think), And I beleive that we have more territory.
Although, I like to think of us as a kind of succesor state(grandchild contry) since we take so many things from them.
Only history will tell.
