My essay topic is children who do not have cll phones do better in school

Use of certain high-tech devices can lower attention span by giving continuous instant-gratification.

Reasons students shouldn't use cell phones at school:

1.They cannot cheat on exams by using the internet or text messaging
2. They do not disrupt their classmates or teacher by getting a phone call in class
3. They respect their teacher by paying attention in class instead of text messaging or playing games
4. They can't "show off" by having a cool phone - creates more segregation between the wealthy and poor students
5. Studies show that cell phones can create brain tumors - particularly in young adults under the age of 20 when their brains are still developing

Lets broaden that 1st reason. who would it distract? Of course the student, but what about the teacher. Her job is to teach you, yet the constant vibrating on the cell phones and the clicking sounds of texting would obviously also pose as a distraction. Try to make it as detailed as possible. A few other reasons I came up with is they won't get outrageous bills, only outstanding report cards, and there is more time on the persons hands. Instead of rabbling on the phone about senseless nonsense, you could be doing that extra credit work. Hope that helped. Good Luck! Remember, add detail teachers like that.
