Honestly, I'd have to say that unless they fill many holes before the season starts, they'll be lucky to finish .500. Here's what they need to do:
1. Acquire a starter or two -- Starting pitching is thin. Lost Glavine, Pedro is aging and may not be able to bounce back and several others could go either way.
2. Need to make a trade -- Have not made a trade thus far and all their attempts to do so have failed due to lack of talent in the minors.
3. Sign a major Free Agent -- Have failed to lure a major free-agent to the team when they could use either a starter or reliever.
4. Restore their confidence -- Confidence is low due to their late season collapse.

well at the moment i see them as about a 85 win team. That starting rotation needs some work. Maine and perez will be solid after that who knows. There offense is pretty good but i think its weak in the corner outfield positions. If they make a few moves though this off season theres no doubt they can contend for the nl east.

It really all depends on how Pedro Martinez does. Glavine, their workhorse last season, is gone, and a pitching rotation with Oliver Perez or John Maine just really isn't that good at all. If Carlos Delgado does good, I could see them making the playoffs with that lineup. Now, I don't know how far they'll get from there....
Final Record is 88-74

Bad. They dont really have a solid pitching rotation, plus with the phillies making the playoffs above them this year, they will be deflated, while as the phillies will be inflated and confident of themselves becuase they made the playoffs

Frizzer hit the nail on the head. The offense is great, but the starting pitching is really shaky and very prone to injury... The bullpen has some holes as well.

They need some pitching help but they will have a solid team and should be in the mix all year long.
