i just read somethin really disturbin by accident n i feel like theres no hope in the world

sleep it off or go take a job (or some other physical activity)

sleep will give you a chance to process/dream the situation to closure.

working out will help clear your mind and make you feel better with endorphins.

I know exactly what you mean. Try to avoid finding out about disturbing things.
If you already found out something disturbing (like in your case) all you can do is try not to think about it. Distract your mind by keeping busy with other things.

Well, look at it from different viewpoints. If it's bad in one way, think of how it's good in another way. Like if someone is murdered, don't think of it as a loss of life. Think of the person in a better place.

take a reality check. think about the good things (kind of like counting your blessings but on a more general level).
