Good question. Why do American-based companies, who wrap themselves in the flag and proclaim their "patriotism" relocate to other countries? Shouldn't they be employing American workers and be accountable to the American government?
Even more perplexing, why do so many people support the party that supports companies like Halliburton, directly and indirectly?

Generally firms working out side the United States do receive tax breaks, also many American workers employed by Halliburton and others receive tax breaks on their income.
They are not required to be patriotic but business persons.
Better would be for this country to have some oversite on these projects so that they could pay their fair share of taxes as well as American labor not be seen as a pariah in foreign countries.

you liberals really dont read the news do you? thanks to the pelosi/reid regime the tax breaks for exploring for new energy sources were erased. the\y moved closer to their product. contrary to the liberal whine here, they still are an american company, subject to american laws and there is nothing illegal about moving anywhere in the free world. the problem is if the pelosi;/reid regime is successfull with unilateral surrender that may changed.
