Pick up a book on the industry and learn about the business. People give me a hard time for wanting to make it in such a tough business, but then all I do is point to people like this who are too lazy to find out what they need to do to make it in this biz. Even if we provided you wtih a list of agents, you don't have the business savvy to convince one to hire you. I know this seems harsh but you really need to do more than post a Yahoo question on this to land an agent. Goodluck.

Just call an agency or private agent, and tell them what you're interested in doing (modeling, acting, tech work, etc). Just make sure that the agency (or agent) deals with that particular thing. Although most won't be interested in "nobody's", there are a few who will taken on EVERYbody!

No legit agency asks for up-front payments (except for "registration" fees, photos, licenses, etc), and expect to pay hefty commissions if/when you get a job.

Check out the phone books, web, and your local library for such agencies.

Good luck, and, if you hit it "big",
remember who pointed you in the right direction! ;)

It depends on the Agents in your city. They determine the procedure for meeting with prospective clients.

Some agents only go to the theater to find new clients.

Ask your actor friends the procedure in the city where you live.
Each city is different.

When you've been in enough plays you'll know. With no experience not any of the real agencies will even attempt to deal with you. Unless of course it's one of those scam!! ones.
