Here are some of the best vampire and/or werewolf works I have read:
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Mina by Marie Kiraly
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles
Kim Harrison’s Rachel Morgan series about a witch who is a bounty hunter and works with a vampire and a pixie
Carrie Vaughn’s Kitty Norville series about a werewolf radio talk show host
Jim Butcher’s Harry Dresden series about a wizard private investigator in Chicago
Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series about witches, werewolves, vampires, necromancers, ghosts, angels, and sorcerers.
Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake series
Nora Roberts’s Circle Trilogy romance about vampires, witches, sorcerers, and shapeshifters: “Morrigan’s Cross”, “Dance of the Gods”, and “Valley of Silence”

For Young Adults:
Sweetblood by Pete Hautman
Midnight's Choice by Kate Thompson, part of a trilogy that begins with “Switchers” and ends with “Wild Blood”
Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde

If you just want to kill some time and have some fun reverting back to childhood, check out The Bailey School Kids series by Debbie Dadey and Marcia Thornton Jones. They have some humorous titles like "Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots," “Werewolves Don’t Go To Summer Camp,” and "Dracula Doesn't Rock and Roll".

I would recommend The *Vampire Kisses* series. They are good.

It's about a teen named Raven and she lives in "dullsville" as she calles it. When a new neighbor moves in to the supposedly haunted house up the way she has to check it out. It turns out that the people who live there have a son Alexander Sterling who becomes Ravens boyfriend. ...What Raven doesn't know is that Alexander is a .....Vampire!!!

It's a great series I enyojed it and hope you do to ; )

If you don't like that try something by Anne Rice She's an amazing author my fave book she wrote is called *Blood Canticle* its not the first but the books don't tell you everything in order anyway soo just read. Good Luck Hope you enjoy! ; )

Laurell K. Hamilton's series, Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter, is fun. The series becomes quite sex-laden after about book six or so and I stopped reading it because it lost all focus and became purely pornographic. Still, you may want to try her earlier novels as they include vampires, werewolves, and many other fantasy creatures.

The only good vampire book that *I* have ever read is Dracula by Stoker. It's free online and surprisingly excellent. It starts out excruciatingly slow, but once you've finished you'll wonder why no one ever told you how great this was. Additionally, this is the classic reference, upon which nearly all later vampire stories and movies have been based.

Anything by Christopher Moore. He is hilarious. His vampire books Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck are terrific. So is his A Dirty Job about Death with a capital D. But Lamb -- though not a vampire books - is his best of all.

They're, Their, There - Three Different Words.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.

I'm going to second the suggestion for Christopher Moore's Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck: A Love Story. They are quick reads, but very good and I highly recommend giving them a shot. You'll be hooked.
