Whats more nerdier??
i think i'm on a losing battle by saying Star Wars is. BUT IT IS! =[.
someone be on my side please =].

I was never really into either of those movies...but I would have to say that Star Wars was pretty nerdy!

Well I think it depends. All guys are into star wars - its a rite of passage LOL I do believe its very nerdy for a girl to be into the original Star Wars movies.
As for Lord of the Rings, I think its nerdier for a guy to be into than for the girls. But anyone who has read the trilogy and then compares notes to the movie is a definate nerd!

LOTR is nerdier. Star Wars has some redeeming social values to it, and has a wider audience appeal.
The case AGAINST Star Wars:
"But I was going into Taschi Station to pick up some power converters!" -- Luke, in a very whiny voice.

The case FOR Star Wars:

LOTR is far nerdier. I mean, how nerdy do you have to be to watch a group of short people walking for three movies which total up to, I think, ten hours, together. And at the very end of the movies......

They drop a ring into a freaking volcano. Academy award, I hear your name.
That being said, both series' are great. I own them all and have watched them repeatedly.

As an aside, it was a little funny to see three guys dressed as Frodo fighting against Anakin, Oni Wan, and Jar Jar outside of an all night movie theatre.

Star wars over Lord of the Rings any day. Awesome movies, LOTR pales in comparison. I would be really surprised if it won here i would've thought way more people would go Star Wars. Oh and for the record Star Wars is NOT nerdy.

um...
no....
i mean, we do actually have ion propulsion engines right now on some satellites, but short guys with rings that have alot of power? come on, some things in Star Wars could actually end up being real, whereas in LOTR, there's just no way that could even start to become real. Magic, Dungeons and Dragons are just things for hard core GameBoy original nerds to believe in.

well a lot of people like star wars especially the new ones. People walking around dressed up a elves and such is pretty nerdy. But then again people dressed up as Darth Vader is pretty nerdy too. So I would have to say its equally nerdy.

well i like both......... i never read lord of the rings but i saw all the star wars movies i was alive for at their midnight opening...... i never dressed in costumes or anything but i was their...... but i would definatley say star wars is nerdier.........
