I think I NAILED the statements
I want to go to UW SO BAD! It's been my dream since 5th grade, and I told then that in my application. I would be ECSTATIC if I was accepted. I know I am on the low end of their Average GPA, but I hope that my ACT and Extra Curriculars will make up for that.
So... What are my chances?

I'm from Minnesota.
The reason for the low GPA is that I really crashed and burned during my freshman year. My GPA was 2.7 during the summer between 9th and 10th grade, and I had to spend the next 2 years doing amazing in my classes to bring it up.

What is your record for most shots of tequila before passing out? Your drinking records are what they look at there.

From U/W Madison website:
Profile of Admitted Freshmen
Here are the general qualifications of our admitted students. These figures are not cutoffs. They are the middle 50% range for each indicator, so 25% of admitted students fell below the range and 25% placed above it.
Rank: 85-96th percentile
GPA: 3.5-3.9
ACT: 26-30
SAT: 1770-2010

With an ACT of 30, You're in. Don't worry about it.
If they ask any follow up questions about your GPA, just tell them that you never found school to be hard, but it wasn't always interesting either. That's why you applied to UW, because you're looking forward to the challenge.
There's nothing on your resume to indicate that you can't do well at anything you put your mind to. Tell them that you don't fear failure, only the possibility of not being allowed to succeed.

The credentials that you listed look good. The GPA is a little lower than what it could be, but then again, grades aren't everything nowadays. Your extras really give a boost to your overall resume.

I think your ACT score is what will clinch your acceptance, but if for some odd reason are not accepted you can always go to another UW school and transfer there with good grades of course.

You better get into that college with all those accomplishments. You have a great GPA and do lots of sports and have a lot of team membership skills .
if they don't let you attend. Then they have a serious problem

I'd say you will probably get in. Your GPA might be a tiny bit low, but everything else is right where it should be. Good luck!

Are you from Wisconsin? If so, you are a shoe-in. If not, I still would bet you could get in. My sister went there and did not have 1/2 your stats. Good luck!
