Brawling and fist-fights in stores over Playstation 3's.
Huge lines and angry parents, literally running across busy stores.
Paying exorbitant prices, sometimes thousands of dollars more, on ebay for systems and games.
Camping outside in below zero weather just to get one of the few copies of a game.
Seriously! Can't people wait a few weeks?
I'm not a hard-core gamer, but when I want a new game, you certainly won't find me there around Christmas or release-dates. I like to think I show a little sanity.

Hard-core gamers know to reserve a copy of a new game in advance, so they don't have to fight over a copy. Most video game stores will allow you to do so. Of course, the same doesn't go for game systems. I do think it's ridiculous how much people fight over the systems around Christmas time. The PS 3s and Wiis have been readily available in stores for most of the year. It's their own fault they waited until the last minute to buy one, so they shouldn't fight and moan about not being able to get one now.

I'm not a hard core gamer either, but I actually did wait outside for the Nintendo Wii when it was first released in November of last year, and I had a lot of fun doing so. I would do it again, even if I weren't buying anything.

HA! I just had that happen to me. I had called Target and they had my credit card number so as soon as a PS3 came in they called me and they only had the one so they ran my card and all was well! Then I go to pick it up and this lady starts yelling at the cashier like " U TOLD ME U HAD NO MORE OF THOSE WHY DOES SHE GET ONE" Then she looks at me and says " WHY R U SO DAMN SPECIAL" and on and on! I was like- look lady- ive been waiting a month and she had my credit card number- she didnt lie to u! But she didnt believe it and just threw a huge fit over it! U could here her all over the store! I would never ever pay what they want on Ebay for one- I would NOT pay $1000 for it! NO WAY !!!! I love my son and he truly deserves it for Christmas BUT Im not that crazy!!!!! Right now NOONE has it- people should have known that would happen and they should have gotten it sooner!!!!
