With the new range of BMW's all having grills that remind alot of people of sharks or other odd creatures... making the german executive marque extremely unpopular..
The best looking out the lot being the 5 Series and the one series coupe, I expect it to out sell the new 3 series coupe. With 3 series coupe looking like a boat or maybe the german marque have copied the 1990's Alfa Romeo Spider.. which also looked like a boat! Just look at the back of the two!!!
have Bmw not reincarnated the late 80's/early90's Italian??
look at the back opf the car only and maybe you too, will see the similarities??!!

Big difference between the 135i and the new M3. However, I do believe the new 135i with its more classic proportions and twin-turbo engine could gain cult status.

I expect the sales of 1 series cabrio (convertible) will compete with the Z4.

Besides a more "classic BMW look", the advantages of having a convertible hard top, and a rear seat might sway some buyers away from the Z4.

For the 1 series coupe, it's a toss up. Practical buyers might be willing to pay a little more for a full 3 series coupé since it is virtually mechanically identical and only very slightly heavier.

Hard-core enthusiasts (with money to spare and another daily driver) however may not mind buying the new 1 coupé in a heartbeat.

I personally feel the 1 series coupé looks much better than its hatchback sibling. But I feel the 3 series coupé looks more "elegant"... even though I feel BMW needs to do something about design of the 3 series sedan. A face lift will probably be out within a couple years from now.
