how did you cope or get through ?
also was you ever in a situation where you owned little or no posessions, if so how did you cope ?
im borderline personality disorder and right now im very depressed at the fact i live in a one bedroomed flat in a council area.....with hoodies or groups of youths who live around me or near by.....they blast loud music...speed their cars.....shout...argue, fight.
its not the roughest area in the world but my goals are to live in a quiet village near the coast, with few populace and an elderley population or people my own age......also to share it with a loving partner...something ive never had.
but with my no employment history....criminal record...mental health record....and no qualifications ever gained.....these dreams seem like a remote impossibility.
ive never had a partner ever...never made any friends ever either because of my problems.
ive aged fast..physically to.
im so depressed...has anyone been in a situation like this & got out of it?

I grew up in very similar circumstances. It wasn't fun. I thought I'd get out of it by going to university but I was wrong.
If you want to go and live at the seaside, get out there and find the seaside town. Then look for somewhere to work; a café or anywhere, and then try to find somewhere to live to begin with. Maybe it'll just be as a lodger and that won't be easy either, but with a bit of effort you might be able to get a little flat. I picture one above a chip-shop for some reason.
I tried to do things that would lead to where I wanted to be. I tried that for a long long time and it didn't work. Instead, go for the goal first and then worry about how to back it up afterwards.
Good luck.

It's all about getting invaluable experience & processing that experience. Use every second of the day to make your life move in a direction where you wannna be. You are a star & u are the pilot of your star. It doesnt matter about how fast you are or how you react to certain situations.
Move in the direction of your dreams & u will certaily arrive, no matter how long it takes. Eventually you will get there. You just have to believe!
When you arrive at your dreams expect a whole new set of problems.
The key is like chess. be 3 moves ahead of your opponent & always be a GOOD SPORTSMAN.
I cant be more exclamative towards the good sportsman jibe!
& just give out as much Love as possible & think positive. I think my advice could be good for many people, good question . Make ART
Take Care & stop watching too much telly, learn a trade or something!

My advice...
Go to a small town/village on the coast, next spring when it's a bit warmer.
Live rough but knock on doors and ask for any odd jobs. Do a good job, be reliable, don't talk much, and don't tell anyone about you problems. Be vague. Encourage people to talk about themselves.
You will gradually build up trust. After a while let people know you are looking for lodgings.
People need time to build up trust, once they have done that doors will open.
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life, don't let the past define you, just learn from it.
Good luck.

Hi yes I see/hear what you are saying.
I lived in a small 1 bedroom in the "worst" part of town for a few years and was followed home a few times, etc...not a great part of town. Actually, once I took a cab home and the cab driver dropped me off 10 blocks fr my house b/c he didn't want to stop his car in my neighborhood...sigh.
Needless to say--no tip there...
What I did was apply to live in a "room for rent" situation on the other side of town, or rather a "nicer" part of town. I gave up my 1 bedroom for a room for rent (same rent) & a safer neighborhood.
Once in the safer neighborhood, I'd go for walks in it on days where not much as going on, and I was able to sleep better (as it was quieter).
Plus it helped me mentally a LOT!! Which helps physically.
You may want to consider applying to a co-op as well as those are usually in areas which are a little nicer.
Good luck

I have lived in front of a bunch of illegal imigrants for the last ten years...they are most gone now, except the nice ones...The Lord does answer prayers...I just kept on forgiving them and He did the rest...they harrassed me unmercifully, but it is because they just have been told wrong...anyway..be thankful at this time, you have a roof over your head,...things are going to get better, i promise...

get the doctor to prescribe you sleeping tablets....then stay awake...they have an ingredient that stops the brain from making you have feelings......once you stop feeling.... and i mean depressed you will be able to re-evaluate how things are....from there on in it's upto you.....but the message in SELF-MOTIVATION......another way to beat depression is to get angry....once there is anger...there is fight and then you can channel the energy to achieve and change things......Hope this helps.....
