It's been like two, close to three weeks, since I'd gotten the Depo shot. Lately, I've been getting terrible and uncomfortable pain in my abdomen. I wonder what could be wrong with me. So far, today is the third day that my abdomen is hurting, and it is hurting pretty badly.

contact ur ob/gyn or ur primary care physician. My sister use to use the depo for years and her complaint was that she would get pain in her bones and joints every time it was close to getting another injection so she stopped and she's on the pill now.. I don't like it because it stops ur period after long periods of time have passed and you know that can cause weight gain.

I use the nuva ring and i'm pretty happy with it.

apparently it is a side effect of the depo shot. I also read that it causes your bones to weaken! I, personally, took the depo shot and was on my period for 36 days the first time and 62 days the second time....I never took it again!!! The pill is much better! to keep yourself regulated. Try seasonale.

i had the same problem
they said it was a cyst and it was surgically removed
its just a minor surgery no big problem
well it is but i mean its not a brain tumor removal you know what i mean
any ways if it goes away that means the cyst was small enough to go away on its own if it continues ask your doctor to do an ultra sound like when your pregnant

It could be one of the "normal" negative side affects of the shot.

A majority of women suffer on it.
