Yes you can within 16-17 weeks.. The only difference between really skinny people and over weight people when it come to pregnancy is you might not be able to hear the babys heart beat tell it gets bigger.. I couldn't tell I was 20 weeks and I'm not to big but I'm not tiny.. But the dad was able to feel it at 17 weeks and now I'm 25 weeks and the baby kicks so hard that it makes my tummy move.. I used to weight over 300 pounds I lost 70 pounds this year and got pregnent I'm 5 6' and even when I was skinny I weighted 190pounds so it all depends on how must weight you carry in the tummy but you can feel it because it's in side you ya there are some fatty tissue between you and the baby but if ur really big in the tummy it well take longer for anyone else to feel it... Witch can be a good thing then you don't have stranges coming up to you feeling your belly witch gets annoying for some people... It also might take you longer to show I started showing at 3 months and now I'm 6 months and people keep asking me if I'm having twins but because I'm over weight a bit I look bigger then some one whos 8 month and really skinny..

I felt the baby move at 16 weeks and 1 day, last Thrusday. and I am overweight too. About 170-175. I only feel the baby at night now but I am told that is normal. Some people will say probably not, but don't listen to them just be aware of your body so you will know what it is when you feel it. Books and websites say that you should start feeling movment 16-20 weeks and maybe longer for a bigger woman or a first time mom. Well I'm both and I felt it early so poo on that theory. ;)

You will start to feel the baby kick, not all women feel there baby kick at the same time, I was a lil over weight when i got pregnant and I was 20 weeks b4 I felt my baby kick for the 1st time, and I am now 22 weeks and it is a constant thing everymorning when i wake up b4 crawling out of the bed and at night when i lay down in the bed, not much during the daytime tho, which the dr said is fine.

in all probability- my well being care provider pronounced that skinny ladies have a tendency to experience there toddler kick before than heavier ladies. although that's purely a generalization. you're able to or would possibly not have any postpone. although, when you consider which you're heavy do not subject in case you have not felt your toddler kick at 18 weeks. it incredibly is common to experience the kicking later fairly while you're heavier.

i am overweight also and i always felt may babies move around 16 weeks. so being heavy doesnt stop you from feeling the baby but it may take longer for the father or anyone else to feel it from the outside, but my husband was able to feel the baby at about 18 or 20 weeks, i would push his hand against my tummy not just set it on top.

That's what they say but I was 218 pounds and 5'3" with my 1st and felt her at about 18 weeks and with this one I felt him at 15 weeks and that's earlier than some people. It might take until 20 weeks to fully realize that what you're feeling is the baby moving and not just gas.

If you had a child before you will feel the baby as early as 16 weeks. If this is your first it might take a little longer because you don't quite know what it feels like so you may mistake it for gas (lol), but 10 weeks is too early.
Congrats!

I'm overweight and didn't start feeling my baby move until 22 weeks, though at my 18 week ultrasound, you could see her in there moving all over the place!
I didn't really experience the quickening that most people do. Just one day, I felt her kick. And from that moment on, she kicked frequently on a daily basis.

Alot of times that is a factor of how early you feel the baby move. Your only 10 weeks right now you wont feel the baby kick for at least another 6-8 weeks maybe longer.

Yes and no. I believe I felt quickening around 16-18 weeks even though I am overweight. After that though I didn't feel anymore movement until around week 24. The fetal movement everyone else talks about feeling in week 24 I was just starting to feel in week 28, but to be fair I am a very big woman. Each pregnancy is different but just rest assured that you will feel it and not to panic if it isn't as early as other moms. Congrats.
