Only if england will legally recognize a marriage certificate from america. Even so the marriage itself will have to be legal. Like age of consent ,etc.

You need to check with the UK Home Office. In many cases, they do recognise foreign marriages with proper documentation.
Where it can get sticky is when you are making the argument for immigration by marriage. Sometimes you have to have been married and/or partnered for a period of time. Check the website I have attached here. And grab a cup of coffee or tea. It is a very long read and much detail.
Make sure you have plenty of original documents -- no photocopies -- it is a bureaucratic nightmare and all done by printed paper forms.
good luck......Finn.

Yes, but there is paperwork involved. My sister-in-law married here in the states and then moved to England (her husband is a Brit) She had to do a bit of paperwork, but everything was legal.

Marriage is dumb. it constantly finally ends up a greater physically powerful mess then mandatory, you do no longer could be married to have childrens, fall in love, or something. So no, i might keep myself the funds from the 1st, 2d and third marriage.
