I wonder why every day we hear about the Clintons on CNN, too many times, with all the anchors, commentators and reporters, all of them telling the same "news" about them, but we almost don't hear at all about Obama, Edwards and the other democrats.

Could it be that CNN has been "promised" something in case Mrs. Clinton is nominated, or they have already been receiving some "extra $upport" from the Clintons, to ignore the other candidates and make the Clintons appear bigger than they really are?

I'm not really a fan of any of the mediocre democrats who are currently running, I wanted Al Gore to run and it didn't happen. Regardless of that, I'd like all candidates (at least the front runners) to have a fair distribution of air time, so we all can see what they offer and compare and contrast positions on issues.

I already know what the Clintons propose, it's old news, why watch it repeatedly every day and not have a clue of what other candidates, like Obama or Edwards have to offer?

What you and the other answerers are failing to realize is that CNN is NOT in the news business. They are in the ADVERTISING business. They operate a news network in hopes of getting people to watch the advertising they want to deliver.

The stories that all of those networks carry aren't necessarily "fair and balanced", but are designed to boost the viewership so that they can deliver more advertisements to more viewers, and charge a larger amount of money per advertisement.

As soon as we realize this, the mysteries of why news organizations cover the stories they do won't be a mystery anymore.

The reason that this story came to public attention is because a Bush political appointee within the State Department saw that the improper accessing of files was being covered up by career State Department staff. Nothing was being done about it even though there had been repeated violations, including by contract employees from a firm owned by an Obama adviser and contributor. The Bush appointee went to the media - the only way that there was to get the situation out into the open. The higher levels at State were first made aware of the situation when The Washington Times called asking for comments on the story they were working on. The State Department spokesman's comments and reactions by candidates were then covered by the other media. Out of the thousands and thousands of employees at State, there are fewer than 300 political appointees in positions spread throughout the Department, from The Secretary down to fairly low-level positions. This is one advantage.

I thought CNN was the corrupt news network. Well i digress your analogy is quite accurate. Now let see if they can air something republican without tainting it, I won't hold my breath. Fox is the only news outlet that shows the news for what it is. That's why dems call it the far right media outlet. On fox everyone can see the democratic candidates for what they are. I must say the last thing a democratic candidate wants you to see is their true colors!

I don't like ANY of the major news networks. BTW, Ron Paul will have a FULL HOUR on CNN tomorrw night at 7pm. EST. So, I guess I can't hate too much (for now at least).

none of the networks untill the last week have covered Obama at all

Edwards gets way more air time than Obama even though he has been a distant 3rd in almost every state

clinton still has double digit leads in the nation over all so thats probably why they cover her so much, hopefully that will change come the primaries!

Obama '08

If CNN is Clinton News Network then thank goodness for one open minded network.
FOX for instance stands for fox the Dems again just as we did in Florida.

I dont think so because:
a) JOhn King is a republican
b) Glen Beck is a republican, and he has been helping the republican candidates in his shows.
c) CNN has ignored some positive news about Hillary in its broadcasts.
