I just replaced the fan limit switch on my gas furnace 3 weeks ago now the furnace is doing the same thing it was doing before. The burners come on but the fan won't cut on unless I manually turn it to the on position on the t-stat. (Putting in the new fan limit switch did fix my problem for 3 weeks) This is a brand new fan limit swithch why would it go bad?

There is probably another problem also such as improper airflow. Make sure the filter is clean and check the temperature rise is set according to the unit nameplate. For more info, check out the furnace page at my source.

I would call a repair man, obviously your problem is not the switch, get it checked out before you wind up replacing the whole damn furnace.
