Considering the cost of things. And the sincerity. What would you prefer from a friend. Not a husband or wife...but a friend.

Something homemade. The effort is always a nice thought and gesture. Best Wishes!

Depends on the friend and what their talent is, you know? My friend makes beautiful jewelry so I would want something homemade from her. I am a baker, so I think if my friend made me baked goods I would be like "huh?" because I already have a house full!

It depends what it is.

If it's like... a scarf that they made, or a plate of cookies, then that would be great!

If it's like... a painting (unless they really are a painter and I do love their work) that they expect to see in my living room, or maybe a tree ornament with their name on it, well, I'll say thank you and that I love it, but...

Some people are really crafty and do homemade things really well, but soem people don't. If you're one of those people who don't, you'd be better off purchasing something for your friend.

I would probably prefer homemade if it was baking, that'd be awesome.
Or something bought that is inexpensive and cuute! Or funny that would make me laugh =)

Homemade because they took the time to think about what to make and make it with their busy and crazy schedules.

Honestly, unless the friend knows me so well that he or she would know what I would like, I'd prefer gift cards. I don't have a need for junk and I hate clutter so unless it's something I want or something they KNOW I would like, I'd prefer gift cards.
