I regret it until this day but at the time I loved her very much. However, we have been split up for four years now. She was married two years, she told me all I had to do was tell her that I still loved her and she wouldn’t have married the guy. I wished her well, and told her good luck. Now Im happily married and she has two kids going through a divorce. My wife is from the philippines, and my x is constantly harassing us and telling my wife she needs to go back where she came from. During the last four days I changed my cell phone number, but then the x got my landline number from the phone book (I also had it changed today). What I am wondering is, is 16 the age of consent in Mississippi and if not could she press charges on me for statutory rape from four years ago. I never raped her, and actually I was living with her and her mom helping to pay the bills. I just don’t want any trouble and this girl has gone totally psycho. I told my wife if she comes to the apartment do not go outside and immediately call 911.

First thing first, don't act so childish your self. LOOK IT ALL UP> Harrassment is a serious thing. Be prepared and not a scared little lamb. As far as the " so called rape" you need to check it out as well. Never say you had a relationship with her to anyone, say it was a "teenage" crush. Get the facts!

Do not inform "her" of anything. Plan ahead and get a couple of tables at a Starbucks or other public place, close to each other, and set if up for the "trap" to get the information you need. She will expect you to do something.

You need to take her aside in a public place with a "planted" witness (a friend she doesnt' know) at the table next to you and record/video it all, just to be safe. We have used both labtop cams and phones just sat on the table next to you. You just can't give it away that YOUR not the one recording..
I actually did it with my phone as well, as it sat on the table, just in case they got mad. BY LAW you must tell them, they are being recorded, but not till after its done. Read on.

Tell her. Okay NAME, this has gone on long enough.
I realize you have some issues to work out. That has nothing to do with me or my wife. We are grownup and our lives have changed. I am happily married. I love my wife, I will not leave her for you. I do not love you. I wish you happiness in your relationship. At this time, you must clearly understand.
We do not want you in our lives. Not even as a friend. Do not call, mail or come by my home, business or any of my family. Just stop and move on to something else.
You will not "win" me over by your actions or anything that you may say or do. I am happily married to another woman, You need to redirect your attention to someone that will love you back. That is not me. Best wishes..

Do you clearly understand what was just said?
After she said YES, [DO NOT ALLOW HER TO ADD ADDTIONAL INFO} Jsut stop her with OKAY, now listen.

then inform her, This converstation and your agreement to stop your actions has been recorded and it is considered a legal document. I am very serious>
the next step is a legal restraining order. I want you to hear me say this. For your sake, move on, find happiness somewhere else.

OR- do what I have done, get a restraining order already done and have them "served" while you are meeting in a public place and its also on tape.

Then quietly get up and pay the bill for the sodas, and leave.
Do not let your friend leave yet, she will assume that you recorded her, not the friend.

Then you need to -Honestly, contact HER mother and let her handle it. Tell her that she has a childhood crush on you and since her life is not well, she is harrassing your "family". Express concern, keep it short an sweet, and inform her that a legal "restrainment order" is the next stop. Can she please help her find some mental clarity?

That will nip it in the bud.

Total psycho is what happens when they are "teased" and you need to look at the way you have treated her. Not wanted and already creating trouble are two different things.

The victim here is your current wife. Consider that.

Talk to someone in the legal field, and find the answers before acting OUT again. That's the logical approach.
Do not be mean, be firm and positive, most of all consistant.

NO! She can't file charges on you now you on the other hand can keep the number that she calls from on the caller ID. You call the sops and put in a complaint go straight down town and file a restraining order on her this could get worst. They can't do anything to you this was a long time ago and you would have to be activaly with her now at a young. I'm not here to judge just to help.

If you were living with her and her mom and paying bills, then the mom was giving implied consent for her minor child. Now, I am no lawyer and I certainly don't know the specific laws for Miss., but in general, if you were living with her and mom and paying bills (and can prove it -- with paperwork, cancelled checks, etc.), then you shouldn't have anything to worry about from 4 years ago, anyway.

The present situation... well that's another thing altogether.

The wiki article on this does not specify Mississippi. But most states have an age of consent of 16.

The Federal law is 16.

properly, i'm questioning what state you reside in. In Washington state you won't be able to have a warrent on your arrest for a site visitors violation. the only way that a warrent might have been issued is that in case you made a court date to "contest", or dispute the cost ticket in any respect. in case you're making a court date you're promising to look... failure to look is reason for a warrant. if it is so, purely exhibiting lower back up on the radar will provide up you from detention center time and you will purely could make preparations to handle the advantageous or concern led to by the site visitors cost ticket. you're able to communicate over with the protection lawyer that would have been presented to you on the arraignment! they could have defined what the fees have been, and what punishment you're able to desire to stand!!!! you have rights and you're able to locate out what they are. additionally, as a part notice the states dmv's at the instant are not related in any way. site visitors fines etc at the instant are not related from state to state.

you have to look up your states laws, there is a statue of limitations for the amount of time she has to press charges, especailly if she was a minor. i would advise if she has made any threats to you or your wife, to get an injunction against here. hopefully she wont be bright enough to claim rape. or you guys could just move out of town and make sure she doesnt know your address.

I wouldn't sweat the statutory rape thing.

Is your Filipina a mail order bride? Well, that hasn't anything to do with things, does it?

If the ex is already harrassing you and your bride ... tell the police now. Don't wait for a serious incident.

There was no satutory rape because you did not rape her one and as well if she is harrasing you and she says you had sex with her four years ago there has to be proof and the harassment she is doing with throw the charge out the window

If I were you I would file charges against her before she does something stupid as try to hurt your wife. She sounds like she is crazy. I would get a restaining order against her as well. I am not quite sure if she could file charges but you should.
