I thought of this question after reading a news story about the Italian fashion designer who wants to improve the pope's image. This question led to a lot of other questions.
If the pope does carry a wallet, what is inside it?
Does he have a driver's license in there? If so, what name is printed on it? His real name or his pope name?
And if he had a picture taken for the license, did they let him keep his hat on?
Getting back to the wallet itself -- do you think the pope carries cash? Would he even need cash? Maybe a credit card or two?
And furthermore, if the pope does have a wallet, where does he put it? He never seems to wear pants, and I don't see any pockets on those robes. Does he have a little pocket sewn into the lining? Does he even own a pair of pants?

Maybe the Pope carries his organ doner card in his wallet.
Pope Benedict XVI is a registered organ doner. The pope registered years ago and always carries his documents with him. "To donate one's organs is an act of love that is morally licit, so long as it is free and spontaneous," he said.

Like most Priests and Religious who wear robes, the Pope would be wearing trousers under the Papal Robes. I presume he keeps his cash and cards in his trouser pocket like everyone else.

The pope is still a person that has a personal financial life. I'm sure he has a wallet, probably with ID, credit cards, etc.
As far as where he has it on him... it's anyone's guess. :)
