I WANT to be a kid actually. I hate growing up.
I know in reality I'm not a "child", but logically I am. I know that I'm a "young adult" now. But am I still a kid? Like, can I still act dumb every now & then, without making a fool out of myself? Can I still rely on my parents to help me make some of my desicions?

Yes, of course you can. I'm almost 19 and at times i say and act dumb. I still have fun and I don't care if they tell me to stop acting like that. I'm always going to have fun and i'll always be my parents little girl even though i don't live with them anymore.

You are not considered an adult until the age of 18. You are an adolescent and should be learning to make "grown up" decisions...but yes you can and should still rely on your parents to help you make some decisions through love and logic. You are an adult in training! : ) I know many adults who still act like a kid...by still acting "dumb" as you put it every now and then....as long as those times are not when you have important decisions to make, I see no problem with wanting to have some fun!!

I'm 26 and I went puddle jumping yesterday. My husband got a little mad at me because I was wearing HIS jacket at the time.... Oh, and I still call my mother every day to help me make decisions and get her advice.

Growing up doesn't mean you can't have fun and it doesn't mean that you are on your own. My mother still acts like a kid now and again. The difference between the way you feel at 15 and 18 is huge. You are constantly changing and evolving. Right now, at 15, is the perfect time to test the limitations of your adulthood, while still having the security of your parents support. Mistakes are not failure, they are an opportunity to learn. So, test your wings a bit, but it's okay to still be a kid.

I'm 50 and I still act dumb every now and then. And I still consult my parents when I have a big decision. Being 50 I would consider you still a kid. Don't worry too much about making a fool of yourself. Have fun. Don't grow up too fast.

My mom is 47. She seems to never have grown up. Although she has a job. She still acts young. You can always rely on your parents for help. I'm 13 years old. I don't think anyone wants to grow up. My mom acts like a fool, It doesn't matter what other people think. All that matters is that you be yourself. Take a little advice from me. NEVER grow up.

You are still a child honey. Shoot I'm 30 years old and I still act like a kid and have tickle fights, play with my food, race in the store. Just cause your growing up dosnt mean that you have to change your persoality. I still prefer cartoons over the new, I still prefer pizza and video games to a fancy resturant. You can be young at heart and still have the responsiblity of being grown up. Your parents will still be there when your 40 to listen, to help you out to help sort life out when it don't make sense.
I hope this helps!

Oh yeah! You are the wisest 15 year old (kid! :) I've ever met. Most want to grow up, but you know that life is short and that you should enjoy being you, a kid! Yeah, live life. Do some silly stuff and dont' worry about things. And if your parents are willing to help you, take all the help and advice you can get...and for the rest of your life!

You are still a child, logically, and in reality. you are only a 15 year old child. You will not reach the "age of majority" or become an adult (young or otherwise) until you are 18 years old.

You're in between - but instead of rushing to be a grown up, you seem to be relishing the simplicity of being taken care of.

Go for it. Yes, you can continue to do "dumb" things, as a matter of fact everyone does, all their lives. Assuming your parents are pretty good ones (I'd imagine so, as you still want their help) then take all they offer.

Everyone says it, but life goes on and on - one day, somewhere between graduating high school and college you will have to be a "grown up." But even then it isn't an on off switch - it can be as gradual as you and they allow. Take your parents help, and Enjoy being a kid, because it will end one day.

My dear...how can you 'act dumb' and NOT make a fool of yourself?
As far as decision making goes you can bet your parents will make them for you. Of course they'll no doubt be the ones that you'd prefer or even think you can make rationally on your own. Hence expect friction.
One more year and you'll be accorded certain 'rights' like the oppurtunity to obtain a driver's license. At 18 you can vote and at 21 drink alcohol and receive pornography in brown paper wrappers from mail order houses. After that...forget it....work dominates your life.
So...unless your name is "Peter Pan"...adulthood is coming sooner than you think.

Good luck kid. Good question. That tells me you probably will go places.
